Ferris Wheel

Eli 16 Ferris Wheel
The Eli 16 was purchased by Bell's Amusement Park in the 1970s.  2006 marked it's 80th birthday.   This wheel was in fact not a "ferris" wheel.  Only those designed by George Ferris were termed ferris wheels.  The Eli Bridge Company set out to design a more portable wheel.

In the 1982 Walt Disney movie "TEX" starring Matt Dillon, the "Ferris Wheel" scene between Dillon and Emilio Estevez was filmed on the Eli 16.
